How to Activation your UAN Number Online

The activation of the UAN number is very easy. You can get your Universal Account Number from your employer, which will be issued from the EPFO. After obtaining UAN from your employer, you will have to register at UAN portal to avail UAN benefits on UAN portal. You will get the following benefits, such as seeing the status of PF Balance, UAN Card, View Passbook, KYC Updating and PF Withdrawal and Transfer, Track Claim Status.

Know Your UAN Activation Online

In order to activate the UAN, it is necessary that you have your universal account number and PF number.

If you have not received the universal account number by the employer, you can also obtain the UAN number through the UAN portal. Click here to know your UAN.

The steps below are to Activate. 

Step 1: Go to the EPFO Portal and click on ‘For Employees’ under ‘Our Services’ on the dashboard.

Step 2: Click on ‘Member UAN/Online services’ in the services section. You would reach the UAN portal.

Step 3: On the screen page ‘Important Links’. Click on the first option- ‘Activate UAN’.

Step 4: Enter your Universal Account Number, mobile number and PF member ID. Enter the captcha characters. Click on ‘Get authorization PIN’ button. You will receive the PIN on your      registered mobile number.

Step 5: Click on ‘I Agree’ under the Disclaimer checkbox and enter the OTP that you receive on your mobile number and click on ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’.

Step 6: On activation of the UAN, you will receive a password on your registered mobile number to access your account.

If you wish to change your password it is possible, when you log into the UAN portal with your Universal Account Number as id and the password you receive on your mobile number.

    Hello,

    My name is Rasem chithung, I am writing in reference to my UAN account, I got a new UAN number 1012***3993 with a reference number 2017***49332, as it was created mistakenly by me while I was trying to update my Aadhaar card online. As such I am no longer able to access my UAN account : 100***0974. I haven’t activated yet because I don’t want a new UAN number.

    I want to keep my current UAN number, 10***660974.
    Therefore, I would like to cancel the new UAN number.

  15. मैं कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन के तहत इंप्लाइज पेंशन स्कीम 1995 से जुड़ा रहा हूं। मेरा खांता नंबर UP/ 3343/253 है। एपीएफसी बरेली की ओर से मुझे 2002 में एक प्रमाण पत्र भेजा गया था, इसके बाद मेरा कोई संवाद नहीं हुआ है।

Hi, i worked in one pharmaceutical company 4 years ago, My PF number: GR/CDP/0054721/000/0000129, I am unable to know UAN number even i tried with Option ” Know your UAN status” in UAN – Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation website.
